Berkey Crown Water Filter
The Crown is the largest water filter of berkey and has a total content for filtered water of 22.7 liters. For daily use the Crown is ideal for groups of people from 6 to 12 people.
In emergency situations, the Crown (incl 8 filters) can also be used to supply between 300 and 625 people per day with their 2 liters of water.
Berkey VS Sawyer water filters
In contrast to the standard filters of, for example, Sawyer, the Berkey filters 99.999999% of the water and changes every source of water into drinking water. Whether you take water from the ditch or rainwater in your Berkey, it is filtered into healthy and safe drinking water.
The Black water filter elements that are in the Berkey Crown filter include:

Specifications
The Crown comes standard with 2 black water filter elements for the upper room. These filters are combined for 22,700 liters of water. With a usage of 50 liters per week, this amounts to almost 9 years!
In total there is room for 8 elements in the upper room of the Berkey Crown.
The throughput speed is as follows:
- 2 Filters: 24.6 liters per hour (included as standard)
- 4 Filters: 49.1 liters per hour

In the lower chamber, the Crown offers space for 8 additional filters. Special PF-2 filters can be placed here for the removal of fluoride. (The number of Fluoride filters should be equal to the number of black water filters in your Berkey)
